• Burns & scolds
• Chest pains (including heart attacks)
• Choking (adults)
• Communication & casualty care
• Defibrillator prompts and how to respond
• Defibrillator pad placement
• Eye injuries
• Fainting
• Head Injuries
• Health & Safety (first aid) regulations
• Low blood sugar
• Managing an emergency
• Poisoning
• Resuscitation (adult CPR)
• Role of the First Aider
• Seizures (adult)
• Severe allergic reaction
• Shock
• Spinal injuries
• Stroke
• Unconscious casualty

The course is interactive with theory and practical sessions. Assessment and continuous observation by the trainer will be undertaken during the training.
